Is it worth it?

I need a new laptop, but I don't really have the money right now, and a guy I buy computer parts off of from time to time showed me this laptop he is selling, and it is practically brand new. It has a manufacture date of 2009 and it was bought in March. It is still under warranty until next march.

Its an Acer Extensa 4420-5212. He said it has a dedicated graphics card in it, but I was looking into the specs and found that it's shared. Has a dual core turion 64 x2, 3gb ram, and 250gb hdd.

It looks like new, maybe a few little tiny scratches, but works great. He is throwing in a case, lap cooling pad, speakers, wireless mouse, and bunch of software. He is asking $400 for it. Should I dip into the wedding funds (wedding is about 40 days away) and buy it?

I do alot of graphic design and web design locally so being able to take a laptop would mean I could take my work with me.

spend all the wedding funds and when the old lady gets man, kick her to the curb:D:rotflol:
Spent quite a bit on it already. I only have about $500 left, she has the rest of the wedding money. I told her about it and she said I could get it, but she said it with the kinda attitude like "if you think thats more important than the wedding"

I told her that I would go take out the loan for the laptop and she told me to just buy it and offered me the money to go get it. I am not sure how much more money we need for the wedding because we have most of it paid for. We only need the tuxes, flowers, and food.

She has like $2000 and I have like $500 towards the wedding. The only thing is I am afraid if I buy it, it will come back to bite me in the *** later. You know how women are.

Well if she tries to get mad tell her you needed it to help your career that's going to support the family.
Yeah, I could definitely use it to boost some sales. I can't tell if she is mad or is seriously telling me to buy it cuz she knows I could use it. Women are crazy.

She might actually be supporting me, or maybe she wants the laptop for herself:crazy:

you "need" a new computer? Youre screwed man. If you dont think it is going to bite you in the *** later (in the NEAR future) you dont know what you are getting yourself into after her comment!

I wouldn't do it...........beings how you still have tux, flowers and food to get for the wedding. I don't know how many people are going, but that is a huge chunk of money right there.

Our wedding we had at my parents house to save money instead of renting a hall or what not and my parents spent a shit ton on tent, chairs, tables and accessories like plates, table clothes and shit. We had to fund our clothes, food and flowers........lets say, I would have one hell of a system if I didn't have to do that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You need to rethink your plan. If you have a good amounts of people, you will make out in the end. Most give you money! I made over 3k in monies at our wedding and really only made back 1k of it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Not a good idea to give her a false sense of importance anyway. Its a good idea to put her in her place right away, nip it in the bud. You'll have to find out a way to let her know she is less important than your car audio hobby as well. Women appreciate this straight-forward attitude, she will thank you in the long run.Trust me, I know what Im talking about. Heck Ive gotten married 5 times, I must be doing something right.
