Is It Worth It?

Long time not posting, around.

I have two 12W3v2-d4 on a sealed box (3.0 cu ft) and feeding them with 750watts (350 each). Do you guys think is worth it to change both subs for say a single L5 or L7, MTX 9500, on a ported box.

Will like to hear some thoughts on this subject.

do you have enough room to port both of those subs? i'd try that first.

heard a single l7 ported before and it pounds pretty hard. my opinion would be the l7. never heard the mtx 9500 though.

If some additional information is needed I drive a 2000 honda civic sedan.

I will try porting the ones I have, but I don't want to give up all my trunk.

xluben, is your box all the way back to back with your back seat?

Maybe slanted box will work better for me.

I personally would go with the Mtx 9500, I've heard them before and I've heard L7's and IMO the 9500 sounded better, and it metered higher...

yeah, my box slides all the way to the back of the back seats, and just fits under the metal bracket type deal. (i.e. widest/tallest box that'll actually fit all the way back to the backs of the seats).

it's 23" deep, so there's 10-12" of space (i'm not sure), and some space on the right an left where the trunk widens.

i'd try a box similar to mine before you buy a new sub. a ported box worked wonders for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and i did try one ported assassin (to save space) and was very dissappointed, so went back to two.

my friend had the same setup with the dub 3's getting 350 rms... didnt get that loud, but with the right install im sure they would pound

I will look around for prizes and see what I can find.

But yes i will try to port what I have now to see if that's enough for me.

What on 2 10w3vw ported?........worth it?.....remember space is an issue.
