Pimpin' Jeep ... :P
I was wondering if it would be worth it to spend the extra money and get an Eclipse 15" Titanium woofer (sw9152) vs 2 15" kicker comp vr's or 1 kicker 15" L7 ... I get some good deals from where I work, but the Eclipse is about $175 more than the L7 or the 2 Comp vr's. I will have the sub(s) running off a kicker zx1000.1 amp and can go ported or sealed with ample space for any set up (jeep grand cherokee). Ive never heard that model eclipse (only the alums) and wanted to know how they compare. Im guessing the SQ is way better (and still gets d*mn loud) with the eclipse which is why Im leaning towards that, but I want to know your opinions. Thanks guys, It will be a big help!

What kind of music do you listen to?

I listen to it all ... mostly rap/hip hop but a lot of alt/rock/chill music gets played ... Its never really one genre. I just want clean sounding bass but still wanna be able to put a big ass grin on my face when I turn it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ... btw, I cant stand muddy bass (as im sure a lot of you cant either)...

I own both. IMO, off that power, I think the CVRs can get just as loud if not louder (because of cone area) and sound good in the right enclosure, not to mention being cheaper. If you want a single sub set-up that impresses with the potential to get louder and sound good doing it with a future (1500-2000rms)amp upgrade, I would go with the Ti.

You don't need more than 1k for the Ti, and it will work is the tiniest boxes. They are hard to port without a huge peak unless you can port it in a tiny box, but you can use passive radiators in the place of the port and then get really good linear response at high output levels. The Ti is more comparable to the 10 and 12" Solox for motor size and power handling.
