Is it worth fixing up an S Class

i just got an S550 Mercedes Benz and i want to put rims on it and tint the window and make it look a little sporty but also a little classy at the same time i've seen pictures of S 550s fixed up and it looks REALLY HOT! but the dealer was saying not to fix it up or even put tints on it because of all the computer system it has on it that it might damage the system but i dont understand why that would happen just from tinting...
