Is it true? Boston Acoustic Car Audio is no more?

Hi, newbie here, and the main reason I joined is that I placed an order for a couple sets of SR60 Boston Acoustic 6.5s and the vendor off amazon called and said that Boston Acoustic had just announced they were leaving the car audio industry, and he wanted to give me a chance to order something different.

Any of you in the industry that can verify that? And of course, the next silly question, if you were buying 2 pair of the BA SR60s, what would you buy now? Would you go ahead and buy them, or what would you replace them with instead?

They are going in an 07 Shelby GT500 vert with a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH, some Shelby/Kicker door sub replacements and I haven't made my mind up on the amp yet...any suggestions would be appreciated. No it's not competion, but I do like good quality music.

Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

Boston is simply getting out of the aftermarket that services the consumer, they will continue to supply to the OEM sector (the car manufacturers) and they will also maintain enough parts to warranty all the current products that are already in the field.....still it's a sad turn of events for us consumers though....
