Is it really necessary?

I've got a 2000 Ford Explorer running stock 95A alternator with 4 gauge power wire running from the battery to a distro block, then one side is 4 ga going to a 1600wrms amp powering 3 subs, and the other side is 8 ga going to a 300watt Kenwood amp powering my 2 front door speakers. Everything sounds great and the only thing that dims (that I can see) is the headunit lights. Everything else seems fine and I'm even running auxilliary Westin fog lights (not continously). Is it necessary to upgrade to 1/0 gauge wire just to be safe or is my current setup good enough since it's working?

Yeah, I think i'm gonna order a 1/0 power wire from KnuKonceptz and get a 250amp fuse along with it and a new distro block to accept 1/0 input. Might as well...
