yeah... if you and yours cant take care of themselves, then I really dont care. I think welfare is a joke and should be abolished. It just promotes laziness.

Welfare helped my parents during hard times when I was a child. A while back I was unemployed and took me a year to get a job. I was not on welfare but I can see how one might need it in order to pay bills while trying to obtain employment.

It's a good program that's abused by both idiots in society and the government.

I just hate that most of us who do work have to struggle more so than those who don't work and live better than us. I have many health issues, had 4 open heart surgery'since birth and a pacemaker and diabeties and who knows what else so I am very limited on what I can do for a job but I do not collect disability or any assistance. It should be for people who really can't work. Being 500lbs with 8 children by 12 different daddies should not qualify. Give them a gym membership and meal assistance and get their *** back to work.

Waste, fraud and abuse rates, historically, have ranged from 1-3% in welfare. Not once have I seen a news story about any of the millions of families whose livelihood was saved by these programs. It seems so long as one story of abuse is published every year or so, the simpletons assume most all on the program are dishonest. In the end, all that is happening is rich people telling middle class people to blame poor people for their problems. Though, when a major corporation pays not a cent in taxes, and gets a 36 billion dollar tax return (GM-2013), no one bats an eye. Those were dollars taken from us too, but people have been conditioned to think this is good for us. They are job creators, right? But taxpayers pay the salaries of their workers, and then some.

First of all, race doesn't exist any more than the concept "forest" exists. Race is a social concept that was created as a result of scientific ignorance and it is still propagated today for the same reason. Racism (and purism) are more accurately described as bigotries and they too have their foundations in ignorance as well as superstition.

In the end, the difference between white and black skin is the difference between blue and brown eyes or red and blonde hair. They're all very minor genetic variations of the exact same species of ape.

As welfare goes, it isn't the poor who abuse it nor the middle class. It is politicians and the rich (one in the same), who take billions more in the stolen welfare dollars than the stereotypical, single mother or poor family could ever dream of taking. And frankly, welfare as it pertains to the state is quite simply, theft. It doesn't matter who is helped by the scheme nor who abuses it, the bottom line is that if it is wrong for me to point a gun at another man, take his money and hand part of it to still another man while keeping a portion for myself, then it is also wrong for the state to do the same. Period.

nobody in my family or me has ever used any form of welfare. But my parents make 6 figures each so no need for it... Im going to take a guess and say that you are probably black.
