Honkies are white people. The term came from a time when few black people were driving, and many whites were. Whites of the day would honk their horns and yell derogatories at pedestrians of color, thus earning the name, "Honkey".

I'm white and when i was growing up in Detroit, me and my black friends used the N word with each other all the time.

Living in the 'burbs now, we really can't use it anymore. It's just....different....with other white people. Going back to the hood and using the word with black people you don't know may get you beatin'. lol

You gotta know people before you say certain things, so you don't get a black eye.
