Is it possible?

Is it possible to get a safe 4 ohm load from 3 subwoofers? They can be dual vc or single,2 or 4 ohm.He wants to go with 3 8" subs but needs to be able to run the amp @4 ohm mono.
No,

(3) d2 can wire to .33 or 1.33 or 12

(3) d4 can wire to .66 or 2.66 or 24

(3) s4 can wire to 1.33 or 12

(3) s2 can wire to .66 or 6

granted, these are nominal values, rarely do coils read exactly the nominal value. So you may get closer that the above, but it wont be exact.

most amps are stable below 4ohms even if bridged so why does it have to be 4ohms?

Amp is a 25 To Life Punch 75.States it is only 4 ohm mono stable.Granted,I only paid $72 for the amp but we are very impressed with it and dont want to fry it.Hence the reason we are shooting for a 4 ohm mono load.

long story short, your coil impedance will rise depending on your box because of heat and moving through the magnet.
How do I determine how much?Is there a % or rule of thumb that I can go by?If I have 3 d4 vc wired at 2.66 ohms is there enough rise to not have to worry about frying the amp?
