and those subs are more like 500wrms. I've had a pair, they get loud and sound sloppy doing it.
Loud as in pretty deep bass with a good bit of the RMS met? And define sloppy like you are saying these are please? Also, what would happen if i put the claimed 700 RMS to them?

 
that quantum has 4x25's. That's going to get you 1000-1200.

I would just gain limit it to 1kw, that way you can be fairly sure the amp isn't clipping and the subs aren't getting more power than they can safely handle.

That voltage into 1 ohm is 31.6 iirc.

I'd at least consider the HF bxi1208D for $25 more. It will produce about the same amount of power, but draw quite a bit less current from your charging system.
