Is it possible to have a ported enclosure ...

Hello Everyone,

I built this corner enclosure and it sounds just fine. I have been using it for a year. I am looking for a new project and I was wondering if it would be possible to design a ported corner enclosure. I understand that it will have to be larger. I don't know anything about tuning a box etc.

I generally listen to hip hop or rap music.

looks good but those alpine shine in ported boxes so yeah if you have the time and money make new ones

Tylork92, trust me those wires have been bothering me eversince I installed my system, I need to get some short RCAs.

I do have time and I enjoy working on projects. I certainly do not know how to tune a box though. I keep reading about, Type R 12 should be tuned to 32-35 hz etc.

Could someone point me in a correct direction on how to achieve this?

That is if you want to spend $150.

A better program since its free would be Unibox. Try it out. Basically you enter in the parameters of the speaker and list your desired tuning freq and vb (box volume) and it gives you a number on how long the port should be to get your desired tuning freq. It's that simple.
