Is it physically possible...??

The closest thing to this that I've seen is when we installed Denim's Eclipse in the Brabus...**** thing was turning on with no ground wire attached. I still don't know how it did that, can't come up with a good explanation for it.
Did you measure infinite resistance between the positive terminal on the amp and the positive lug on the battery? Otherwise, this is all hearsay and speculation...

Obviously it was touching the car's body somehow, and completing the circuit...There are amps out there (not sure how many if not all) that are grounded to the negative terminal, which makes it possible to power on, if the positive side is hooked up, and the amp is not isolated (sitting on rubber, not touching any conductors) from the body of the car.
