this may b a dumb question or i could b going crazy....but is it possible for an amp to get power without a fuse in the fuse holder of the power wire??? i'll elaborate if u need me to but for now ill just leave it at that

i wouldnt think so since the fuse completes the circuit

now see...thats wat i thought, but apparently my friends and i witnessed some kind of crazy physics defying event. We witnessed an amp power on and run only to later find out that there was no fuse in the fuse holder. Now i know we're not crazy, we all saw it and heard the sub working sooooooo if someone can please explain this it would help greatly.

maybe the circuit is completed somewhere inside the amp bypassing the fuse, does it work correctly?

lol i wish we were high but naw man, we definately saw it happen. It was late though...but not that late

as for it working correctly...right now it doesnt work but i dont think it has to do with there being no fuse because before we discovered the missing fuse we spent alot of time setting up his system and got it to work for about 10 minutes then it stopped working...after checking every possible thing i checked under the hood and found that there was no fuse in the fuse holder. now that sounds crazy to me cuz it was working for 10 mins without a fuse sooo basically i cant explain it and i hope someone here can so i can sleep better

i think it wasnt hooked up right if it was working right

maybe hooked to wrong fuse

seriously to everyone that doubts this, i cant explain it but it happened, there was 4 of us there so at least im not the only one who witnessed it. the amp powered up, bass was blasting, my friend moved the amp then it stopped working, we spend the next hour trying to make it work again but cant, i look under the hood at the fuse holder, turn to my friend and say, "yo, tell me if u see anything in here?", he replys "naw man theres nothing in there.", my suspicions were correct and there was no fuse present. all i know is...i heard bass for 10 minutes...without a fuse. please solve this so i can sleep in peace
