Is it even worth it?

Hey,

My gf is gonna sell her car, and all her speakers are blown. I was gonna pick up some dual/jensen speakers (something cheap that works) and was wondering, do you think i should go to shucks and buy a 20 dollar jensen amp to give some extra juice to some cheapo speakers?

i mean, is it even worth it to get a crappy little amp to power 4 jensen/dual/really cheap speakers?

her HU is some POS Aiwa, so no matter what it aint gonna be nice, just wondering if she could get some more money if it sounded better with an amp (if it even would).

u could , just tell whoever is buying the car, that the car has a custom sound system.

yeah you can. it will look better to the person who buys it, but make sure you make the install look good

well i mean i'm talking CHEAP CHEAP amp. Like the ones i see at Shucks and Autozone for like 25 bucks the "1500 Watts Max Power!!" then in small letters at the corner "35x4 @4ohms RMS"

that type of amp.

I have some extra MDF i could make a tiny little amp rack. All her speakers are blown anyway, so she needs new ones.

there's only 1 way you should do that. if you have the balls to advertise a "premium sound system" and hope that no ca.com member shows up to buy it, do it. you may get some pretty funny reactions to the stereo.

i would install the amp behind a trunk panel really nice and do what dude said....sale as a priemium sound equiped version... and it adds 1000.00 to the value.

either way...lol as long as you say something like "340 watt stereo" people will be like OOooOOoooOO.

i'll check out shucks later and see what they got. i was thinkin some jensen 6x9's in the back and jensen 5.25 or 6.5 (dont know what she has) in the front with a tiny *** 30-40x4 amp. thats if it isn't all over 50 bucks or so.
