Is Hertz/Audison worth all the money? Need some owner thoughts.

I have 2 quotes for a Hertz Speaker and Audison amp setup with install. The first is 8 speaker High Energy setup. HSK165 components in the front door, HCX570 coax in the rear door, HCX690 3 way coax in the rear deck and an Audison SRX 4.1 amp. With dynamat, new speaker wire and install, the total is $2475 - $1600 for the speakers and amp,$425 is labor and the rest is dynamat and wiring.

The second is 8 speaker Energy setup. ESK570 comps in the front door, ECX570 coax in the rear door, ECX690 3 way coax in the rear deck and a Hertz EP4 amp. Again, with dynamat, new speaker wire and install, the total is $1975 - $1100 for the speakers and amp, $425 again for labor and the rest dynamat and wiring.

So after all that, I guess my question is - Are they really worth it? I have a Ford Fusion with the Audiophile system and SYNC, and I have to keep my stock HU to keep my SYNC system. So am I going to see a noticeable difference between the Energy and High Energy setup? Or because I have to keep the stock HU should I just go to a local shop here and get a $1000 Rockford Fosgate Punch setup because I won't see much of an SQ difference?

Sorry for the dissertation, I'm just really up in the air about spending that much on speakers, and want some input from others....

everyone is going to tell you that you do not need rear speakers, however you really dont need two pairs of rear speakers

how is your amp getting signal? a simple loc or a cleansweep 3sixty.2 or something like that?

i say you ditch the 3rd pair of speakers and use the extra cash to upgrade the front component to a better speaker, not that they are bad or anything

everyone will also tell you to install it yourself, personally i dont think 425 is bad for 3 pairs of speakers an amp and dynamatt

and yes this system will be a night and day improvement of the factory shit they call speakers

I would assume they are using a LOC, as they mentioned nothing of a cleansweep or something similar. And actually, they originally quoted me a setup without the rear door speakers, but I just felt a little OCD about not putting something back there since the stock setup has them.....

What would you consider a better front component than the Hertz High Energy?

I have some Hertz ESK's... they were like $180 which replaced $200 CDT speakers.

In my opinion, the Hertz were A LOT better. A lot cleaner sounding, they get louder off the same power and was a lot better choice than CDT... not saying CDT was bad. CDT were some pretty good speakers, but the ESK's were better.

hertz and audison are awesome

but forget all the rear crap. just get a good set of 2 way comps upfront and a good audison amp and youre done

rears just usually cause all kinds of acoustical problems

dont listen to the dealer, hes just trying to make money

Actually, the only quoted my on the front components and the rear deck 3 way coax. He never said anything about the rear door until I pressed him about them. The dealer has actually been pretty straight with me, so I can't complain about that....

Maybe he has passengers in the backseat? And he would lose the sync system if he got a new hu, which I assume he wants or he wouldn't have paid extra for it.
