Is having my subs aimed straight up a good idea?

Thinking about it, it seems like this would look better and maybe cause a little less rattle in my trunk for right now, but will having them aimed straight up do anything negative to the sound quality or loudness? Im getting ready to either start building my own box or taking some plans to a friend and have them build it, and I want to keep in mind which way the sub opening will be facing while I build it.

If it matters, the subs are 2 15" D2 Magnums in a 2004 Toyota Matrix.

You'll have to move them around to see what works best for you...no one can really tell you what will work because every set-up is different. BTW, nice choice on the Mags... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
