Is crutchfield worth the price?

Is it worth it to pay more for a hu at crutchfield just to get the free stuff like the wire harness and the master sheet or would it be better to save money and buy it somewhere else? By the way this will be my first hu.

it is worth it for the warranty there warranty is awsome thats why your paying the high price....

After installing a bunch, and owning a couple.I will safely say I will NEVER buy a JVC head unit again.Nor recommend one.Mine was a piece of shit IMO.

Kenwood is actually pretty decent shit.

i bought my headunit from crutchfield simply for the warantee. it is one of the most intricate and expensive parts of my stereo - and if it broke i would have been SOL. over kenwood and JVC i would buy an alpine. i am NOT a fan of the glide-touch, so i would recommend this

if you wanna upgrade and spend $50 more for alot of good features - BUT you have to get the glide touch, i highly recommend this alpine

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MKlW4X6rC9d/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=500CDA9820&search=Alpine+VENDORID500&SearchDisplay=Alpine

its tricky to get used to, but once you do they are pretty nice. 5 band parametric EQ.

i would skip the jvc and kenwood IMO.

but aside from the units - crutchfield has full waranties and free install equipment wich will cost you $50~75 at a local shop + labor. they come with EXPLICIT directions for YOUR EXACT VEHICLE MAKE\MODEL for ease of installation and all the parts needed to boot (unless you have something like a freggin ford tarus lol)

great place to buy from, prices are *a little* over what you can get them elsewhere, but the benifits of the warranty and parts easily make up for it. not to mention the 24\7 tech support and awesome customer service.
