is Blockbuster closing more stores or closing down?

I know in 2007 or so they were closing like 250+, but I drove by my local Blockbuster this morning after getting my coffee and noticed that the windows had big drop clothes draped over them and a giant yellow sign that read "No Mo Renting" lol...I hadn't heard anything about it, seems to me that Blockbuster and others are past their primes anyway...anyone know if they are just closing more stores or going out of business...

they make a killing on games though still.

I havent rented a video in years though myself.

My ex-gf used to work for them, they were allways doing dumb shit like not hiring from within and not promoting. So no one would stay long there. Awesome business model.

My friend has worked at a local one for almost 6 years and he didnt mention them closing to me. Might just be a local thing for you?

They are more then likely to close this year. I was reading about it somewhere on yahoo

yes netflix does blu ray for 1 more dollar a month. And blockbuster is expected to clse down before the end of 09, there was an article in yahoo finance recently about 10 companies expected to close doors this year.
