Is Audiobahn built by Alpine?

I was looking at Audiobahn's new head units that they are coming out with (this month I believe) and they look IDENTICAL to some of the lower end Alpine HU's. Is Audiobahn built by Alpine? there is NO affiliation between the company...

don't ever say that, lol.

anyways, they really don't look alike at all, and there is no corporate affiliation

Alright, I take it Audiobahn is not a good name around here?

I was only looking in a catalog, so I couldn't see the unit first hand, but they sure look similar to me. Maybe it was an old catalog and Audiobahn has changed the look since?

nope, its got to be a new cat. Audiobahn is just getting into the HU marlet, and these are their first ones.

i personally don't like audiobahn at all...

some people do, and it's their perogative, but i personally dislike them with a passion

LoL...well they look neat, if that's a factor in buying them.

I have never heard them, just about them...sounds like there are much better choices out there though.

Good enough for me. I never really considered them for my set up...just seen them as I was browsing around the stores around here today...said, "wow those are nice and shiney".

For the price they are asking for them you'd think they would outperform most anything, guess that goes to show it's not all in the price.

Another thing...I was at a local Car Audio place today asking about amps, and the guy said i should expect to pay close to $1.00/watt for a GOOD amp....any truth to this?
