Is anyone a member of MERA?

For a few of my classes, I'm looking into how to get more involved in the mobile electronics industry. Once I get out of school, I'd like to end up working at a manufacturer (Rockford, Mitek, JL, etc.) on the administrative side of the business (since I'm a management major). So, I'm looking for ways to kind of get my foot in the door.

The reason why I ask if anyone is a member of MERA is that I was wondering if its something an enthusiast could join and connect with others in the business, since it seems like something that everyone would have in common.

I can't help you with MERA, but I recommend going to the shows as many of the companies have employees there repping their products. Getting some good contacts can go a long way. I'd also consider working for one of the smaller companies to start with just to get something industry related on your resume.

Yeah, I've talked to lots of reps at some local shows. I just about slapped an Alpine rep once for what they did to their 2006 head units.
