Is a Sundown SAZ-1000d enough for a RE SE 15 D4 ?

Is this enough power to really run the RE SE 15 D4 ? If I wire the sub down to 2 ohms.. I think the Sundown will put out about 600 watts on the 2 ohm load.

Are the RE SE subs efficient enough to where this kind of power will really be enough to run them well? or do I really need to shoot for more power?

Since the RE SE 15's are D4 versions, if I get two of them I will be able to wire them down together for a total of 1 ohms... but since I only have the SAZ-1000d mono... that does 1000 watts at 1 ohms.. that means I will only be able to give the subs about 500 watts each....

I don't have any personal experience with these subs but is this going to be under-powering them abit to where it would make better sense to get different subs that are more efficient with the kind of power I have?

as long as your electrical is good itll put out close to 1200...and in all honestly that extra 100 rms isnt gonna make a noticeable diff.

I'm not sure how much I can get for my SAZ-1000d to put towards a new SAE-1200 to make it worth it... It's brand new.. but I will think about it.. I thought the SAZ was better than the SAE that is why I got it instead.

they are on above 15v //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...sae is entry level...saz take more beating and love high vltage... expect a tad over rating for the 1000d around 14v...the sae1200d puts out more power than the 1500d does @ 2ohms on 14v...but teh 1500d does way more at 1 ohm...also, saz lines can drop below 1 ohm where the sae cant

after imp rise if you are wired to a 1 ohm nominal load, you will be seeing around a 3.25 ohm iductive load. this amp put out 600 watts at 3.25 ohm in my truck. very impressive for an amp rated 300@4 ohm.

it is also recommended you never run the sae1200d at under a 1 ohm inductive load... the saz line loves running at under 1 ohm inductive load.. so if you have your subs wired down to .33, .25, etc the saz will not even hesitate to push out some power. the sae on the other hand is a china amp and almost all china amps do not like to run under 1 ohm inductive

imp rise is more on music though correct? I was just trying to give him some basic information on the amps..
iirc music doesnt play regular sine waves, like the scope on them looks different, so imp rise shouldn't be accounted for

on a reg tone, is when u count for it...let me look for the thread
