Is a Hifonics Brutus a "good enough" amp?

if you go with hifonics, you better have extremely good voltages if you want it to make its power. anything less then 14 volts you wont make rated at all.

I understand that this is a relatively budget amp. On one hand reviews for them are all good, but some people trash on them here. It seems to be one of the top amps that will do 1k at 1 ohm for 150 bucks.
If I go into this not expecting top of the line efficiency and probably a bit overrated, will I be satisfied? Lol

I'd find a BRZ1200. Great budget amp, it'll do your 1K, and in my opinion, the BRZ line is the best Hifonics has ever offered.

14.4 shouldn't be that hard to maintain on that small of an amp. I guess it depends how much OP is willing to put into electrical, but either way he should be taking the precautions to keep his voltage up.

stock alt, kinetik 1400 under hood, big 3 done, 0 guage running to the back. I'd figure I'd be alright... I don't push my stuff to the limit everyday, but I should probably start. lol

should be fine with brutus amp but the ppi amp is a tad better.

Too many dumbasses in this thread.

BRZ/BRX series do rated or right under. They're a great value. People just get mad because they're nearly the same as their AQ and American Bass amps and a lot cheaper.

Yeah, i just read a BRZ1200 review where all the guy said was this amp puts out 500@1ohm tops. Gave me the lolz. Some people are just so funny

brz is the best line and the brx is good, bump all the haters they do rated and they will give you the power you need, brutus is not entry level the zeus is... they are good amps, can get clamp results for all the haters if need be.... they are just power hogs... super duper greedy power hogs...

BRX is the replacement for BRZ. The BRE and new BE (Brutus Elite) amps are even better

Haven't played with that one yet... yeah the brx is a little more eff. than the brz still greedy though....lol
