we are in the same boat..

actually..im getting my lowered for free cuz my friends dad owns a custom shop, so I'm repaying by rewiring his truck.. haha.

Thank you.
What kind of truck? A good way to find out about how to do it would be to join a forum dedicated to that type of vehicle. There will be topics and links to parts and what all is needed to customize it.
Yea i've snooped around, its a ford ranger, so i dunno if it would look that good anyway

98+ is very easy to lower, before that takes a little longer but it still pure bolt-on. Mild 2/3 would be coil springs and leafs or coil springs and hanger flip. Lower 4/5 would be coil springs plus control arms and an axle flip for 98+ or coil springs plus I-beams and an axle flip for pre-98. 2/3 will run you about $200 in parts 4/5 will be $400-$550 depending on year model and vendor for the parts. It can all be done by a single person with hand tools in a day.

For the blazer guy, dropping the rear of a 4WD more than an inch with drop blocks is asking for trouble.

2.5" Is *****. I Wasnt happy with 5/6 plus shorter tires. SO I went with bags. At one point drop spindles, springs, leafs, blocks, etc I had 13" wheels and it was super sweet low but I couldnt slide a pack of cigarettes under the frame, so had to go adjustable.
