Is a 2.5" drop on a truck alot??

If you use blocks and torsion bar keys to lower your truck it will ride like shit, Its not that much of a drop and it will put unneccesary strain on your differential as well as mess with the pinion angles.

Yea you can get the lowering keys and blocks to lower a 4wd blazer. I had a 2000 blazer 2wd that I dropped 4" in front and 5" in the rear. Could have went down another 1" around but my tires were rubbing.

What kind of truck? A good way to find out about how to do it would be to join a forum dedicated to that type of vehicle. There will be topics and links to parts and what all is needed to customize it.
