Jeep Grand Cherokee lol. Although My brothers 4.0 Wrangler gets pretty hot under the hood so you may have the same problem.

It sounds like your alty has a bad winding, its shorting a winding to another part of the coil and its making the circuit shorter changing the amount of voltage it produces. This sort of thing is likely within the first few weeks of any alternator build - new, refurbed or whatever. So just call dom and dont put a thread like this on a car audio forum, its really no business but your and Doms...

my first alt died, got the car jumped off and it csat at 9V the whole way home. sent it back and Dom said it was a bad rotor, manufacturer defect, sent me a new one and its been fine. it gets hot, but do did my stock one. voltage sits fine.

might be the same deal with yours, bad rotor. might wanna contact Dom and see what he says. mine lasted for quite a while before it died too, kinda weird.

lol.. cuz some brands are known to be trouble, and some are quality... and in the case of iraggi, there may be a lot of people having problems, but in most cases it gets solved without any huge spending because of customer service as ive been reading about iraggi alternators...
