Edit: Misread the question, call Alpine and get the right information before you waste some money. I think it should, since in essence its still and Ipod only with touch added to it.

I just called iPod supprt last week for a similar question, but relating to an older model iPod. The technition told me that all iPods are compatible with the Alpines, EXCEPT the new touch.
Call Alpine and confirm, but that was from Applie iPod support.
I called alpine tech support and was told that all of the new alpine headunits would work with the ipod touch. I also was told this by a best buy employee ( but i dont know how much that matters )
