Ipod stopped working on my eclipse 7200mkii

So I installed a new deck, I pod worked for a few days and now it won't work anymore. Songs show up and the track just shows 0:00 for time and will not play. Any suggestions?

does the ipod play without it hooked up to head unit?

yes, and my wifes ipod plays fine and its the same model as mine.
