Ipod question!!

I have a 2005 Pioneer DEH-P7700MP headunit and i have a 5th gen ipod....will the pioneer CD-IB100II be compatible with all of this??..i mean i know the ipod will work with the CD-IB100II...but will the CD-IB100II work with my 2005 headunit??...will i get all the functions?? I know it has to be hooked up as an external source...or should i get the CD-IB100 from last year?? thanks for the help...and will my subs pound hard with using the ipod??

it'll work, but most likely shitty as hell, i used my 100ii with my 860 right before i got my 880 and it worked to a certain degree, like it would display text and stuff, and you could search, just not by turning the wheel you had to push it up or down and it was pretty slwo b/c of that....

yeah..i called pioneer and they said i would only get 1 test line at a time and everything comes 1 line at a time and yes cannot turn multi-control knob have to push over left or right up and down...cause i have the ib100II right now ready to install it...just wonder how long it will take to install it??...and i need to buy a cradle thing from the ipod store...man i gotta drive like forever to get there though...oh well..better get on my way to the ipod store..see ya

The CD-IB100II goes in very quickly. its a basic power and ground connection and then the ip-bus connector to your unit and the ipod cble to your ipod.

when its installed can i still be able to turn the volume all the way up and not have to worry about blowing up the ipod or ib100II?? or do i have to switch sources like to CD or tuner??...now if i switch sources to CD for example does that mean no signal or power of any kind is going to the ipod??...having 2nd thoughts about doing my install tmr morning...i hope i dont have to be more cautious with the ipod installed..tell me what you think and if oyu have some answers to my questions..thanks

Set the EQ on the ipod to "Flat" for best results. I have no problems turning my radio all the way up with the ipod.

On the headunit...you are able to switch sources from CD to Tuner to Ipod....CD is to listen to a CD and Tuner is to listen to the radio and Ipod is to listen to music from the ipod...when i play music just from a CD..will I be able to turn the volume to 50/50 with no problems??...even when the ipod source is not selected or on

If you listen to you radio at 50 out of 50 volume...your ipod is the least of your worries.
