ipod owners

Likely a memory leak; Make sure you have Service Pack 2 for XP; Includes vital Plug-and-Play updates.

If you continue to have trouble with your iPod, disable any startup items and extraneous services by Start -> Run -> msconfig.

Furthermore, use the latest iPod Updater, and make sure you have iTunes 4.7.1

SP2 sucks and there are tons of problems with it, and iTunes sucks equally.

As far as the problem, you might want to try ending all your running, non-system resources before doing anything. iTunes is a ramhog, and if you have a small amount of memory it may freeze up.

I uploaded over 1500 @ once, more than a few times, just to see how it would hold up/act, It was fine all the time never got "whacky" was great till the day I sold it. And I do regreat selling my i-pod !

lol i guess im fortunate enough to not use any of those programs except photoshop 8 which i have no problems running. works like a charm. I say i feel sorry because of all the security patches and whatnot that comes with sp2. say hello to spyware and adware and trojans without it. The version of IE that was in sp1 was vulnerable to so many different exploits it wasnt even funny. Another reason why i use firefox but i guess thats a diff story

I don't have any problems with Photoshop CS and that was on the list. Also, SP2 has been great for me so far. I'd take the ease of use and usability of XP over my suse 9.2 install any day.
