iPod/iTunes

Not sure if this is the right place to post it but Im having some trouble with my iPod...

Its not showing up on iTunes when I connect it nor is showing up in My Computer as a drive. When I do plug it in, the "Do Not Disconnect" warning comes up but than nothing on the computer. Any know how to fix this??

it takes a minute it should load up, but not right away because its processing all the info since an iPod is an HDD. does it make that "da-naa" sound when you plug it in?

yea depending on how fast your computer is, it can take forever.

yeah it makes the sound, thats whats so weird...Ive never had a problem until now after using the iPod thing on my headunit might of corrupted something. Not sure but its just fishy

well I got it to load up on iTunes and I can see the drive but when I go add songs back on it says Disk Write error and just stops

I dont know what I did or how it decided to be nice again but the songs seem to be going back on...If I can get everything on good. If it will still be nice and let me redo my playlists awesome than Im never adding songs to this iPod again lol.

do some google searchs for you HU and IPOD info. maybe its a common problem with the HU and Ipod controller you're using. definitely sounds a little weird

Yeah I will, Im trying not to use the computer alot while its working with the itunes but it is a bit weird

have you used itunes to check for updates for both the ipod and itunes?

ohh yeah I forgot to include that. I updated iTunes to the latest version as well and it started to cause the problem. Than downgraded back to another version. So Im going to have to say its either iTunes or the HU but Ill lean towards iTunes

Use winamp and the mlipod plugin, works like a charm, mess with itunes if you want to lol

winamp 5.2 has it built in otherwise

also if you get the new winamp I still would use the mlipod plug in if I were you.
