Ipod ,Iriver ,and Zune

Does anyone know if the different brands will all connect to an "Ipod" cable? Is the cable only for the Ipod? Can I use it to play Zune,or I river?? Thanks.

ummm most likely it probably will... because if its like the jenson one, it connects through the headphones (output) which is just a headphone jack. Do you have a picture or where you are ordering it from? I got a H/U from sonixelectronics or w/e and it came with an "Ipod cable" which I use for my zune.

an Ipod cable won't work with the others AFAIK. they are different plugs. and all apple products don't work with anything else.

don't mean to be jackassie sounding... but just cause it states Ipod cable, doesn't mean it plugs into the charging port/syncing port.. like i said the one i received off of sonixelectronics with my H/U was connected ot the headphone jacks which is universal to most mp3s/ipods... just loook at the connection...
