IPOD Hookup

Hello All.

I apologize as i know there is a wealth of information on this subject, but I think im just ****ing retarded. I have a Pioneeer DEH-P6500 and i want to hook my new 30GB ipod to it. i would like to hardwire it into my system as the FM modulators are crap. So far im under the impression that i need to use the line out in order to get the best sound and this can be achieved by using the belkin auto kit and then going to a 1/8" jack to RCA's. then i need what? or am i off? do i need to use this adapter http://www.crutchfield.com/S-WotcMCp2hnz/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=469PIOPRCA or does the DEH-P6500 already have aux input RCA's which would eliminate the need for this? all u do get that aux input adapter and a mic to rca

and ur set....thats what im doing when i get my ipod

ok thats what i figured, however once i get my friends tv the brain will be in the back of my car therefore no longer needing the use of the bus adapter, anyone know where i can get extra long 1/8" to RCA cables?

Just use an RCA patch cable in your length of choice and barrel connectors as required...

have you considered Pioneer's iPod interfase? I am not sure if it works with your 5 generation Ipod though. I have a 4G iPod and the sound quality is great, but navigating that thing through the hu is pretty hard, also it only displays 8 characters. I got it few months ago from ABT $95 i think. Try abtelectronics.com

with the newest ipod pioneers adapter will work like ***. I love it. You can go through everything just like you had your ipod in your hand and leave it in a center console or glove box.

What do u mean. Is it actually easy to navigate with G5 iPod?
