ipod help

hey guys i got a 30 gig ipod for xmas. i absolutely hate itunes and anything apples makes, even there ipods. but anyways....

i have about 2400 songs i put on it today, but even tho i put them on in folders, they all copied over all crazy. so in my ipod, they are all categorized super gay.

Can anybody tell me how to copy over the music exactly how i have it organized on my Harddrive? or can someone reccomend something other than itunes that doesnt ****? thanx

try doing all the folders 1 by one instead of all at once then it will organize as followed?

What kind of CD burning software do you use?

I use Roxio to burn a folder CDR, ITunes can not do this.

If you got Music Match Juke Box you can do the samething.

PS: ITunes uses MMJ in its Application without all the extras.

try adding it folder by folder to your itunes library, i know its a pain in the ***, but then again Itunes is a pain in the ***

but yeah i redid my whole library and now itunes is being ghey again.

hmmm nope. it doesnt keep diretories. it keeps them organized by either artist/album/song.

i used itunes to organize all my songs and as i downloaded it(i know im a cheap sonofabitch) i just put them into playlists along the way so mines organized pretty well.

I don't really see what's wrong with organizing by album/artist/song. I personally really like iTunes. However, if you have your music organized in some special way, maybe add it into iTunes as playlists? Since you're putting it on an iPod though, there really isn't any other program you can use I don't think. Pretty sure you have to use iTunes.

Yeack. No thanks on the Zune. The only thing it really has ove rthe iPod is the wireless thing, and most people won't be able to find anyone else with a Zune to use it with.

If the iTunes software is the issue, I'm curious to know how you have your music organized right now and how the program messes it up so much.
