Ipod control threw Pio AVICF700BT

I was wondering the Pio AVICF700BT has an USB hookup in the back of the radio and I know on the 4000 model with the USB cable u can't control the IPOD threw the touch panel of the front of the radio. Can U do this with the 700BT , I want to control IPOD threw the front of the touch panel... thanks

you can control it through the radio, but you need the pioneer adapter....it has USB and analog connection...I had an f900 for a while, and controling the iopd was easy, the layout looked like an ipod.

I hated mine though and returned it.... unless they made a lot of updates I would not buy one

I work at circuit city and I plugged that Pioneer USB up to the 4000 model and it played threw the Ipod not the face , so I did not wanna bust a new box open and wire it up to see if the 700bt was different. Did u do anything special to get it to kick over to play on the face of your radio. I am really needing to know this cause I have this customer that wants to buy it only if it will play threw the face lol.
