ipod computer help

my computer wont recognize my friends ipod. i just bought it from him and i want to add my songs from my ipod to his (my new one) and for some reason ipod2ipod (software that suposedly lets you transfer songs) will not read it.

its an ipod touch 1st gen 16 gb.

he said something like my computer will think its an iphone when i plug it in. idk if that has anything to do with it or not.

any help?

theres something to do with the security features apple uses. I never used an Ipod or owned any apple Pc stuff, so good luck with that.

Try YT, theres like a vid on most hacks there..

i have two ipod touchs that i use with the same pc. i just plug in the ipod and transfer from itunes

although i keep the music on my pc in mp3 format not some lame proprietary apple crap
