iPod charge AND hookup

Do they sell peices that are supposed to charge AND play iPods? I have the one that goes into the cassette player, but it does not charge it. I am looking for an all in one plug or something that does this.

out of curiosity what kind of ipod do you have?

and btw i have a DLO transdock, lets you charge your ipod while playing it in the car. LMK.

Are you using the factory stereo that came with your car?

does it have a cd changer or aux button on it?

if so... i may have something that'll work for you.

the only real solutions are to replace the radio or use one of the charger/fm transmitters that plug into your cigarette lighter... sound quality can be an issue with those, however... you may just want to get a car charger and continue using the tape cassette adapter...

So I am gonna have the have 2 plugs going into it? And I am replacing the head unit anyway...

If you replace the headunit with something that has an auxiliary input, you could use something like this:

not only will you get the best possible sound quality out of your ipod, but you'll be able to charge it as well...
