Ipod Car Adapoter??

I have my ipod hooked up to my car by its headphone jack, which i really dont like because the cords keep going bad on me and it ruined the headphone jack on my last ipod from taking it in and out so much. so i bought one were it connected through the ipod dock but that cord wont work on my itouch 2g. I cannot find one to fit this ipod for the life of me. can anyone help me out? thanks in advance
