Ipod and Itunes help please

My friend gave me his ipod to put music on for him because his computer crashed and when I put his ipod into my computer and started itunes a message came up and said, "the __ ipod linked to another itunes music library. Do you want to change the link of this itunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this ipod with those from this library?" I say no, but when I say no I can't add a playlist to my friend's ipod. Is there a way to plug in an ipod other than your own into itunes and add music? Or do I say yes? I dont want to lose all of his songs or mine! Thanks

You cant load them on your computer. But you can add your songs in the ipod.

plug the Ipod back in.. it should load itunes... when it loads on the left it should show a ipod right below the music store thing.. then to get your songs from your computer on it, click on library and highlight all the songs u want and drag it over to the ipod thing below the music store and it should put them on

try downloading the program ipod2pc. that is what i used to get music from my friends ipod to my computer.

same thing happened to me, but i pressed "yes" and it deleted 2,500 songs which i have not yet replaced.

if he plugs he ipod back into his comp after its fixed it will lock up all the songs you put on it that youve bought from itunes. happened to me when my friend filled my ipod. if he does you have to enter your password to authorize his comp and ipod...apple thought of everything to stop pirates lol
