For those of you with an ipod in your car...what do you use to hook it up to your HU without ipod control?

My hu has an aux jack and I can play it through there, but I also want it to charge. I dont want a cable sticking out the top of the ipod and the bottom. I want one cable that charges and sends audio.

Ive used the belkin auto kit before, but I dont like that it is internally amplified.

Let me know what you guys are using!

Eclipse 8443. Before people start chiming in with the IPC106, or the PAC unit, I have tried them. They ****! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The HU has an AUX input, just get a 3.5 mm male to male stereo wire for $6 and call it a day. You control the songs through the iPod, but it works and it's a cheap solution.

One end goes to the AUX input, the other plugs into the headphone jack on the iPod. Problem solved //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Btw, that deck is quite nice. I used to own one myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

That is what I used on my 880PRS till I got a direct connect deck, which is nice plus charges my iPod.

If you get this cable, it will not charge your iPod. Which is no biggie, just make sure it is charged before you head out. I just hated controling my iPod by itself. Too much of a distraction, especially since my car is a 5-speed.

I know I can hook up a 3.5mm jack...I want it to charge as well. Trust me, I have tried over 10 different ipod hookups on the 8443. I am just seeing what success other people are having with different products.
