iPhone and Alpine

The other day a friend of mine was impressed that my w200 controls a crap load of stuff (iPod, navigation, game system, etc). He has an iPhone and was wondering if it would work with the iPod cable I have fro my Alpine unit and surely enough it worked just fine. There is a note on the iPhone that says something about it is not meant to be used as it is, but we had no problems at all.

I'm assuming the iTouch will work just fine as well. This is just an FYI to those people that have an Alpine unit, the iPod cable, and an iPhone (and possibly iTouch). I wouldn't be surprised if it worked with other decks that have their own iPod cable.

I have a phase linear deck that works with my iPhone, I just wished the deck had iPhone controls or displayed what's on the phone on the screen since their both touch screen.
