Iphone 3Gs......Whos got one?

I have an upgrade coming up on the 3rd and was lookin at getting an Iphone. I only have 2 concerns.

1. How much music can it hold? (16gb model)

2. Can I connect it to my 880prs like you do an Ipod?

My girl wants to get me an Ipod touch for Christmas, but if the Iphone holds enough music and can connect to my HU, I'm gonna try and talk her into helping me get a Sundown 2000d from Jacob instead.

lets put it this way...I have the 8g Iphone3g and I have over 40 apps 10 movies 30 tv shows and over 4000 songs and im at about 3/4s on the little progress bar whenever you connect your phone to your comp and iTunes comes up. you feel me?

mass is dependant on quality of mp3s/itunez/wma's ect...

i havent tried to play mine through my kenwood deck yet...

I dont see why you couldnt..

1 movie= depending around 300 songs

1 tv show= around 50-100

apps=mehh..apps are apps.

oh yeah..

apps are usually around 300kb - 5 mb... not that much space... some of the 3d games are 20 mb or so

If you have that much on a 8gb you have some really crappy quality stuff. Like less 96kb bitrate or below heh.

You should get about 2000 songs with around 128kb bitrate on an 8gb (higher the quality, less songs obviously). That's if you have no movies or anything else. A movie file for a phone's resolution may be about 200mb average, so yeah do the math.

I dont care about movies. I may get a few apps, but I mainly want it to hold music and play through my HU.

I dont want an Iphone and an Ipod. Thats too much shit to be carrying around. If I can get 3000-4000 songs then I'm set.

I don't know one person that can get 4000 songs on a 8gb honestly. And for me personally, I don't like to play 128kb bitrate songs in my car, and especially not below that. Think about how much on average one of your songs is. 4-5mb?

you can easily. I have the 3gs 16gig model and it plays through my kenwood kos-v1000 with the ipod adapter, my stock head unit, and my jvc head unit. And it plays through my friends alpine head unit
