so there's no way to change mine? I use at&t dsl.. the ipconfig and release dont change it when im plugged directly to the modem. Is there any way to change it when i am changing the router settings? (the page where you set the password and security and stuff)

what ever you did, its already got an e-paper trail on you

even if you change your IP, (if its someone coming after you, be RIAA

what you can do, is buy a router and reset your modem and connect the router, that should change the IP that you are broadcasting to the world...........if you already have a router, remove it, and hook up modem straight to PC, reset modem and it will do the same thng. the IP you are given is based somewhat off your mac address, so if you change the mac address, your ip will change with it.

but if you are trying to get onto a website that youi are banned from, then a proxy will work just fine.

What ip address are you trying to change, LAN or WAN. Lan is the ip adress your router assigns you, ie 192.xxx.x.xxx. Your WAN ip is the ip your isp provides you with ie. 69.x.xx.xxx.This is the one that you are broadcasting to everyone. Which one do you want to change.
