Inverted or Not to Invert?

I retract my comment. Apparently it does make a difference. I don't recommend it. If it made your subs magical compared to normal mounting, wouldn't everyone be doing it?

Inverting doesn't do anything except for just that... inverting the sub. It frees up space inside the box so a smaller box can be made. Someone has a small FB enclosure that's smaller than the sub, with an inverted sub.

Inverting it doesn't distort anything... the same mechanics are working... just because the cone isn't facing you doesn't mean anything.

P.S. Boneninja, you break down like a little biznitch. Stand up to what you said. Someone's box building skills has NOTHING to do with their knowledge. That's like someone with a $5K dollar system telling me I don't know anything because their equipment is better... it's completely bogus. Sure, he builds really nice boxes. It doesn't mean he knows everything, or that everything he says is right. He probably just didn't want to deal with your crap and dumb questions.

And SC Blazin' is actually really knowledgeable. It goes to prove that post count != intelligence... and just because you don't post your system in your sig doesn't mean you don't have one.

i didn't change anything......thats his opinion. I've been fukking with systems longer than you've been on this planet and i've heard 100's of systems and many many inverted subs and the only time i've ever heard them sound bad is when they sounded bad no matter what way you flip the subs
