Ok so does air space change or is it the same when a sub is inverted. I have heard so many different stories. So which is it. Inverted Same air space sub normaly needs or Not as much air space sub needs?
there is more internal volume in a box when a sub is inverted. its common sense. the motor and basket take up space. when they are on the outside of the box, they no longer take up space inside of the box.

magnet out actual adds a very slight amount to the box volume...take for example an Alpine type r 10" sub....if you mount it magnet out, you can add .055^3 to the net volume versus the sub mounted magnet in. So if the box magnet in is 1.5 cubes...flip the sub over and the box is 1.555^3

Are you referring to the amount of airspace in your box, or the airspace requirements of the sub? If it's the latter of the two, then no, the sub does not require different airspace when inverted. If it's the first question, then see above.
