I'm not trying to argue with you about this, dude. I'm sure you're not a shareholder with DD, so what does it matter to you? I emailed the people a half dozen times, and they were never lost. If they had been lost, they wouldn't have gotten back to me at all. And I didn't call them because I was working 12 hour shifts that week. I wasn't around a telephone during business hours, and I'm not the kind of guy who's going to call a complete stranger in the middle of the night.

And if I wasn't serious about buying their subs, why did I go out the following week and buy nearly $8,000 worth of RE and US Amps equipment? You can be a DD nuthugger if you want. Make excuses for their bad business practices in regards to selling me the subs that I went out of my way to buy. That's your business, but leave your assumptions of me out of it...

You guys are cluttering this for sale thread, DD isn't the sh*t like everyone thinks, look at the competition lanes this year, AQ will get as loud and sound as good for 1/2 the price as will Incriminator Audio/ Sundown/ Ascendant Audio/ Fi/ (Both AA and Fi are flux tech) TB has set several records for SPL and SQ for Tennesee in MECA with scores as high as 162dB, last year 9 10" HF's did a 154.x at world finals. with a concept 3910 amp @ 18voltsso TB's ge loud too. My 4 10" Ultra box in my 4Runner does 147.5@ 32Hz with 2K s they'll get low also.

I managed 141dB @ 44hz with 1 Ultra 8 in 1 cubic foot @ 40Hz in a Scion TC. Burped with 1600watts rms, wasn't clamped so I don't know how much power it was actually seeing but I beat a couple single 18 installs and a few pairs of 10's. This was in a Xstreme SPL show in NC, I was classed as 1100 watts with a XX Zeus. I have a single 10 I'm gonna meter this weekend so I'll post results when I have them.

Very interested in hearing the results for the 10". I'm going to try to talk my friend into letting me install 4 of them in his Lincoln.

The DB #s are all well and good, but how do these things sound?

Heres a link to my 4Sale thread with my 4 TB 10" Ultras, it has termlab scores for kick and dash displayed, as well as pics of the enclosure 4 would need. This is a daily/SQL box, not an SPL box, it is tuned to 32Hz, it's freq response was in the range of 28Hz - 80Hz in my 4Runner. For SPL, 6 cubes net @ 35-38Hz for them to still hold rms power from tuning up.

How many vehicles do you have?

I did have 5 running systems, I'm down to 3 personal systems. They get switched around regularly for whatever I'm testing. The 10 I'm breakng in to put on the meter is also an SQL setup, 1.43 @ 34Hz, does ok down to about 30Hz but 32Hz threatens the structural integrity of the Scion TC its in, I have about 500 watts on it and it's okay with that power from 30Hz up. I'm guessing SPL to be around 137dB at the headrest @ 35Hz

For future reference all my SPL guesstimates are Termlab/Headrest measures. I'm usually within 1.5dB also, not blowing my horn just a seasoned vet.

Yep, white dust caps started in 04 on Gen 2 models as a limited run, finally I convinced him to bring them back out this year, feast your eyes on this!
