i think im gonna go ahead and pick up the W7 for resell just because its a good deal, and if i dont sell it for profit sometime soon i might as well sell the W6's and make it a pair of W7's

or u can buy 3 or even 4 of a sub that is just as good but cheaper

JL has good stuff -- but at a HORRIBLE value.... you pay for the name with JL with 3/5 of your money -- the rest is for the quality haha... The W7 isn't any better than RE XXX or AA Avalanche or soundsplinter RL-P for example... and they are much less expensive but in the same class in terms of quality... Their components...... heh I wouldn't buy one......

well ive heard a XXX, and a Brahma...but never an avalanche, and i havent heard any of soundsplinters stuff.

i thought the XXX performed just as well as any W7 ive heard as far as SPL goes, although i actually liked the sound quality of the W7 more than the XXX. but thats my taste, just as everything else in car audio is relative to your taste.

but as things go, the car came with the W6's, and i've been a fan of JL for many years...so it fits my taste rather nicely. there was a used 12W7 on ebay in a custom box, 1000/1, and a 15 farad capacitor, for 800+shipping. so if you shop around, you can find good deals on anything as long as its slightly used, which doesnt bother me. i also had a friend selling a 12W7, that he had for just a few months (still had warranty), he was willing to give it to me for $275...but when i called him today after work he had already sold it for $400.

i have nothing against RE, AA, ID, or anyone for that matter, i just like JL. i had a set of W0's in some tower speakers in my house, and some W3's in my old car. ive had nothing but good experiences with JL, and theres no sense in fixing something that isnt broken //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

in re-reading my last post, i realized that i sounded somewhat like an ***.

thats not what i was trying to accomplish, just getting it out there that i actually do like JL...im not just a bandwagoneer along for the ride.

and in the comparison between the W7 and the XXX, its all in the install as we all know, so the pros and cons between the two subs that i heard in person could all be dependant on a crappy install, or a mismatch with the driver placement, and the vehicle. but eitherway, i still stick with my JL's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
