Intrigued by RE Audio

I have been reading a lot of good reviews on RE Audio stuff since I joined this site. I was wondering where can I buy RE Audio gear for a reasonable price? I was thinking of going with this setup in my '99, 2 Door Civic EX Coupe:

Alpine 9835 HU (already own)

Alpine MRV-F345- $250 Ikesound (75x2 on Comps and 300x1 on sub)

RE XXX 6.5 comps in factory locations

RE SE 10' sub

Can someone give me a rough estimate of what this would cost? Also, I listen to hip-hop and rock, would this be enough for a daily driver? And lastly, how would this setup stack up against:

Infinity Kappa 60.7cs comps- $199 CarDomain

Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 VQ- $170 CarDomain

I have been out of the loop in the car audio world for a few years (Married w/ Children-//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) and always liked Infinity Kappa and Kicker gear. It is time for me to get back to Good Sound in my vehicle and I am researching before buying. I appreciate the info that you guys (and Gals) provide on this site!

The only place to order RE products is directly from the company. You will have to call them for prices because they do not like to have their prices posted online.

Is 300 Enough for that Woofer? And what about the XXX 6.5 vs. Kappa 60.7cs series? I know the Kappa perfect mids have a mid-bass issue, do you know if the 0.7 is solid for mid-bass? Thanks for the quick responses!

A lot comes to mind. There's a RE group buy going on at the moment(Search)

#1 they XXX 6.5 will require more power than the Alpine MRV-F345 can provide. I'm sure it will work but why getting high end mids and starve them.

#2 Overall the Re will probably give better overall output.

#3 The XXX6.5 are just mids, so you'l need tweeters and a crossover.

I was looking at the XXX series 6.5 component system listed on their site, not the mids alone. It's cool about the few months thing. That gives me time to research and save my allowance (told you I'm married) I can wait if it's worth it.

I have always had a nasty habit of uninstalling, selling my old gear and purchasing new stuff because I have always been hard to please in regards to car audio. I plan on doing a lot of work on this install (deadening the doors and building a fiberglass enclosure for the 10") and would like to buy good stuff initially so that I am satisfied. I am always open to suggestions. I appreciate the responses.

I don't think you can get the XXX6.5 other than the mids alone anyway. Although you can see them on their site, they haven't have them available for more than a year.

Hmmmm...thats interesting. Im gonna guess you have tested both these subs in any install possible?

Didn't know that, thanks. I'd really like to go with some nice horns, I always loved their sound. I don't know if I can install them in my Civic though. Does anyone know of any smaller horns or of anyone installing them in a Civic? Also, how good are the XXX 6.5's as far as Mid-bass and Mid-range?

XXX's have excelent mid bass although the depth is a little big
