Bottom line is that where batteries are made has a minimal effect on the battery as a whole.

Agreed, but unless there is a big difference I would always try to buy USA made products.

Btw Optima batts are made in Mexico.

The new plant is in Cienega de Flores, Mexico. From what I hear it is a multi-million dollar state of the art plant.

the aurora plant is open but they only package, flood and ship from there now they are made in mexico. i know I have friends that work there and im only 35 miles from it.

but it isnt optima it is a private company that optima contracted for shipping reasons only.

and the company that owns the building is Johnson Controls aka advance auto parts batteries and interstate brand.
