I have a package to send out to Canada and I have never shipped anything outside of the country before. I told the buyer I will provide a tracking number so the carrier will have to have this feature.

Any ideas, experiences, things I should expect?

kinda off topic but since I am on the subject of delivery services screw UPS. I love how they like to treat your package like a unwanted dumpster baby. They are 2 for 2 on damaging my packages.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

Thanks guys.

Want me to contact NASA on your behalf? I think with your immense intellectual insight we could break the code of time travel.

Just let me know Kove.

I will ship this out Monday and really don't have time to research in detail myself due to work.

If a mouse on heroin can beat you at checkers(referring to kove) please don't reply.

Thanks in advance for input that helps.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

And you could get stuck paying duties and taxes...make sure you get recipient pays all duties and taxes or you could owe a bunch...I am with kove, don't ship intl unless it is life or death...Just not worth the problems and potential for being scammed...JMHO

hahahh you are wise young child but not as wise as the KOVESTER:D FEGG

It's probably a good thing your not going with UPS when you ship international with them they like to destroy EVERYTHING and not pay you back once you have insurance on what was being sent.

Whatever you do box it up with a lot of protection. GL

I won't do it. Only time I delt with anybody from Canada was when he said to save time/money or problems, just to ship it to his buddy at a NY addy. I did so and he went across the border to get it.

I imagine he has a passport, so no problems. Saved us both a headache.

Only time I will deal with anybody from there. I usually stray away from doing it though.

I think it is childish to say 'don't do it' or 'you'll get *****'. Its not like there is a secret energy force field you have to cross with your shields at maximum traveling at warp 10.

Simply package your item well - bubble wrap, double box, perhaps add some corner reinforcements if you can get them.

You will probably have to fill out an extra form stating where the product was manufactured, its value, and reasoning behind sending it (eg. is it a product sale, gift, etc.). The higher the value, the more the recipient will have to pay on taxes and customs if the product was not manufactured in the US. This part is of course, no issue of yours, but the responsibility of the recipient to take care of.

USPS has done me good until just recently when they effed up my alt and the insurance won't make any difference. What are you shipping? If you don't think it can be damaged USPS, if heavy like amp/sub use Fedex. Most people in Canada don't like UPS for the extra charges they **** us on.

to not want to worry about having to deal with intl BS to ship something is not childish, it is good business, allot of companies as well as individual people don't want to deal with all the headaches...one time sending something to canada and I will NEVER do it again...Fvck shipping to anywhere outside my country...JMO
