Internal fuses blowing

so I've had my SAE 1000D for awhile, it's an awesome amp, but during a trip down to austin halfway thru the ride the bass just cut out, so i pulled over to check what was wrong, and after 30 seconds i noticed all of the amps internal fuses were blown, so I assumed that maybe i had the gain just a little too high, i had it set for a small amount of clipping, so when i got to austin i bought some new fuses, pulled the old ones out, turned the gain down, and then reconnected the power and ground wires, as soon as i did the terminal for the positive wire that i was attaching just started sparking like mad until all 3 of the fuses blew. At that point i was a little mad.

Now i have almost no clue how the internal parts of an amplifier work I just know what the transistors and mosfets and power supply are supposed to look like on the board... everything looked normal, nothing was burnt or singed... if my digital camera hadn't been stolen a week and a half ago i would post pictures, but everything looks okay... does anyone know what could possibly be wrong...

I would contact jacob, but he's already helped me out once and he didnt even have to because the warranty doesnt transfer over when you buy one of his amps used, but he's just awesome and loves being a good person so he helped me anyways. I will definitely be buying a 1500D when i have them oney, but for now, can any1 tell me what the problem could be?

Cliffs: Fuses on SAE 1000D blow whenever power is connected, I want to know what the problem is, opened amp, looked at board, nothing is burnt or singed.

i think you have the pos and ground wires in the wrong holes.
... does any1 have any serious suggestions... and just in case you think i havent checked... i have, it's kind of hard to get the gray and blue wire mixed up...

the whole fleshlight?'

but seriously.. i would check all the silly things.. make sure everythings wired right, make sure you don't have anything shorting out or touching.. and then check with amp manufact.

I checked and double checked, power goes straight to pos on bat, ground goes straight to neg on bat, everything is gravy, and i just hooked up my old Alpine 400 watt amp on the same wires and none of it's fuses have blown, and it's working fine (so far) i only used for 5 minutes to set the gain and reconfigure the voice coils on my subs...

I had the same exact thing happen to me on a Sundown SAX 100.4. DON'T use or mess with the amp! Send it in to get fixed. Seriously after a while of trying to get mine to work, It fried some parts.... It's not worth it. You must have had low voltage or something to make it go like that, since the same exact thing happend to me.

i was being serious about the whole pos, grnd thing.

i bought an amp a while back, got it in same day and ran to the car installed it. went back inside chilled for a while. went out to go do some stuff and *POP* there went the fuses. lol i rushed putting the bastard in i crossed the pos- and ground up. DONT RUSH INSTALLS for everyone else. lol

good thing I wasn't as dumb on my 1000.1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No spare metal on the board, no crossed wires, and at full blast it was getting 12.4 volts at the amps terminal with a DMM, it's been running fine for quite some time...

I don't really wanna hassle jacob about this, and I would like to learn about how the internal parts of an amplifier work, for now I'm just gonna do research and run my old amp until i get two paychecks, i wanted to start with knowledge of at least whats wrong, but I'll find out somewhere else.
